Get to know Breanna

Like many people, Breanna was first introduced to yoga through the physical practice. But it was childhood family challenges, painful relationships, and career dissatisfaction that repeatedly drew her back over the last twenty years.

Over time, it became clear she was being called to yoga for more than its physical benefits. She was seeking the spiritual depth and healing woven through philosophical dharma talks, pranayama, meditation, chanting, and advanced asana. Spiritual guides, wise elders, and the natural world began appearing along her path, inviting her inward. Through yoga, she experienced expanded states of awareness and a profound reconnection with the Self. In hindsight, yoga had always been the steady anchor in her life.

In 2019, her desire to go deeper led her to complete her 200-hour yoga teacher training. She began teaching one class per week while continuing her work as a bedside nurse. As she embraced a more holistic and conscious lifestyle, she began to feel increasingly misaligned with the conventional Western medical model. She witnessed how chronic stress and disconnection between mind, body, and spirit often manifested as long-term dis-ease.

Life continued to realign. She transitioned into a more wellness-focused nursing specialty, expanded her teaching, and followed the devotional path of Bhakti yoga. She learned to play the harmonium and lead mantra chanting, experiencing firsthand the transformative power of sacred sound. While expecting her first child, she furthered her studies in pre- and postnatal yoga, deepening her understanding of the sacred transitions of womanhood.

The profound transformation she experienced through yoga is what compels her to share this work. Her intention is to help others remember their inherent wholeness and experience life with a little more light and a lot more love. She walks alongside her students, creating space to deepen self-connection and, in turn, more authentic connection with one another. She believes the sacred container of asana is a gateway to the soul and emphasizes trusting the innate intelligence of the body.

Whether serving as a nurse or teaching yoga, Breanna’s life’s work is the same: to help others recognize their own power, trust their inner wisdom, and remember the thread of divinity that connects us all.
